Camping Trip

So, here's a collage of some of our pictures from camping last weekend. There are plenty more pictures, but this is a start. We camped out in a tent on the ocean front (Hunting Island State Park in SC). It was beautiful! A bit chilly and windy the first night, but by the 3rd day there, it was warm...should've gone for a swim, but we didn't. Next time the water will be warmer...

Low Tide

When the tide was low, we were able to go for a walk from our campsite to the lighthouse--we got some amazing pictures; the only unfortunate thing is that it is all due to erosion of this barrier island.
What do you think?

Trip to Brazilian Consulate

Hi folks, we want to ask you to pray for us this week in a specific manner:

Wednesday we are going to Atlanta to apply for Caleb’s Visa to Brazil. The appointment is set for Thursday morning at 10AM. Please pray that the process will go smoothly and that we will receive his visa without any delay or complications.

By the way, since our last email, Becky’s hips have greatly improved. We went camping this weekend at the beach here in South Carolina (lots of fun, and relaxing for us all), and we’ve been going for walks together pushing Caleb in the jogging stroller! This is reason for you to praise God with us! We ask that you continue praying for complete healing.

On May 26th we will travel to Brazil for one month, fulfilling Ben’s last internship for CIU. We will also be deciding on where to go to language school once we arrive full-time in Brazil, hopefully early 2010. Look for a letter from us in the mail soon, with more details as well as our family prayer card. If you think we don’t have your mailing address, please send it to us if you want to receive our prayer card. Thank you for your partnership with us!

In His Unfailing Love,

Ben, Becky, (Noah) & Caleb Bacheller.

Talking in the crib

I'm sitting at the computer, working on some homework, and Caleb's halfway through his nap time...but what I hear right now is squealing, laughing, talking to himself (very loudly at that), saying "dadddy" and "mommy" over and over b/c he now knows how to say those words...he's just having a fun time in the crib, in the dark, this afternoon. And I'm sitting here smiling, laughing to myself, giving thanks to God that I get to be a daddy and raise this boy. What a privilege. Children really ARE a gift from the Lord (and there goes another hilarious holler coming from his room!)

Have a great day!
